Lydia J. White is a literary studies scholar, German-English translator, editor and publishing consultant based in Berlin.
Originally from New Zealand, she has lived in worked in Germany for fifteen years.
Her research interests include Bertolt Brecht, exile literature, post- and decolonial literature, and nineteenth- and twentieth-century German history, in particular that of German colonialism, the Weimar Republic, World War II and the postwar period.
She has over a decade’s experience translating and copyediting texts for academics, museums, NGOs, theatre practitioners and business clients.
